Who we are

WHO DO WE REPRESENT?

The Assistant Directors Guild of Great Britain represents 1stAD’s, 2ndAD’s and 3rdAD’s working in the Film & TV industry. We do not currently represent runners as they are usually employed through AD teams and not directly by Line Producers, Producers or Director’s.

BUT WHO ARE THE ADG?

This is the most important question of all. The answer may seem a strange one. The ADG is YOU! The site is organised and run by its members.

Without your input, support and active participation in this site the ADG will not be able to grow and provide the voice that Assistant Directors so sorely need. We need a good take up and response from the AD community so we would please ask that you spread the word and encourage your colleagues to join and actively participate.

The site is run and administered online by a small collective of 1stAD’s and 2ndAD’s (often from our members list) all working as freelancers in the film and television industries. Because they work on a rotational basis helping out when they can we don’t list their name’s as they are not a permanent point of contact, and they are working for free for the greater good.
